Darley To Assume Ownership Of Pyro
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum's Darley "will assume ownership of multiple graded stakes-winner Pryo" (Pulpit-Wild Vision, by Wild Again) after the 3YO colt runs in tomorrow's US$1-million Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile at Santa Anita, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Darley USA president Jimmy Bell said no decision has been made on whether Pyro "will race next year or join the Darley stallion roster". Ron Winchell currently owns Pyro & bred the colt in Kentucky. To date, Pyro has 4 wins (including both this season's Gr2 Louisiana Derby & Gr3 Risen Star Stakes, plus 8th in the Gr1 Kentucky Derby & 3rd in August's Gr1 Travers Stakes, as well as 2007 runners-up in both the Gr1 Champagne Stakes & Gr1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile) from 12 starts for US$1,469,883 earnings.
