Belle Soleil Wins Magic Millions Stakes
Flagship Arrowfield Stud stallion & former champion Australian sire Redoute's Choice (Danehill-Shantha's Choice, by Canny Lad) added a feature success when favoured filly Belle Soleil (Redoute's Choice-Summer's Glory, by El Moxie) scored a 1.5-lengths victory against the males in yesterday's $100,000 Magic Millions Stakes (1200m) for 3YOs at Wyong. Belle Soleil (ridden by Glyn Schofield for trainer Gary Portelli) defeated fellow fillies We're Lucky (Lucky Owners-Zambalee, by Twig Moss) & Rare Diamond (Redoute's Choice-Lo Zimbello, by Polish Laughter). Belle Soleil (a $220,000 yearling at the 2007 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast) now has 2 wins & 1 placing from 6 starts for $133,700 earnings.
