1st Aust Winner For Shuttler Denon
Independent Stallions Victoria shuttler & 4-time US Gr1-winner Denon (Pleasant Colony-Aviance, by Northfields) recorded his 1st Australian winner when 2YO colt Sullivans Cove (Denon-Dancing Beat, by Ballad Rock) scored over 1100m at Hobart in Tasmania at his 2nd start for trainer Charlie Goggin. Sullivans Cove was a $50,000 yearling at the 2008 Tasmanian Magic Millions Sale. Denon covered 138 mares in the just completed Australian breeding season & his only other Southern Hemisphere starter, the filly So Fast So Good, has notched placings in her only 2 starts. In the 2008 Northern Hemisphere season, Denon notched 9 juvenile winners from his debut Italian crop to finish 2nd on the 1st-season sires table.
