Coup Align Wins NZ Gore Guineas

Highview Stud's Australian-bred stallion Align (Night Shift-Super Trend, by Red Anchor) added a black-type success when gelded son Coup Align (Align-Diamond Snip, by Snippets) scored a 2.5-lengths victory in the NZ60,000 Listed Gore Guineas (1355m) for 3YOs at Gore in Southland. Coup Align (ridden by David Walsh for trainer Michael Pitman) defeated fellow gelding Lob Star (Mellifont-Four Sweet Roses, by Four Seasons) & filly Metropolitan (Elusive City-Our Diva, by Oregon). Coup Align (a NZ$30,000 yearling at the 2007 NZ Bloodstock Select Sale) now has 6 wins from 8 starts for NZ$87,625 earnings.
