$1.3m Redoute's Choice Colt Wins 2nd Start
Tuesday, 27th January 2009
Expensive 2YO colt Bawaardi (Redoute's Choice-Stella Artois, by Geiger Counter) recorded his 1st win at his 2nd start with a 1.25-lengths victory over 1000m at Ballarat in Victoria for trainer David Hayes. Bawaardi (a $1.3 million yearling consigned from Arrowfield Stud at the 2008 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney) returned from a 13-weeks spell, having finished 3rd on debut in last October's Inglis Juvenile (1000m) at Moonee Valley.
