NZB Yearlings Day-3: Clearance Rate 69%
Overall during yesterday's action at the NZ Bloodstock Karaka Sale, 145 lots sold for NZ$5,149,500 at an average NZ$35,514 & a median NZ$30,000. The clearance rate was 69%. NZB summed up: "While trade was steady, the economic down-turn is being felt more acutely here than during the Premier Sale, with the average currently down 41% from last year's final results (NZ$59,709 in 2008), the median down 37% (NZ$48,000 in 2008) & a decrease from last year's clearance rate of 79%." (The 2008 results reflected at least a 25% increase from the 2007 Select Sale across all key indicators.)
