4 Aust-Bred Winners In Hong Kong

In Hong Kong last night, 4 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Happy Valley (click on the horse name to watch each race):

  • 4YO gelding Loyal Army (Strategic-Briko, by Sir Tristram) won over 1200m for trainer Dennis Yip. Loyal Army was a $38,000 yearling consigned by Basinghall Farm at the 2006 Inglis Autumn Sale in Melbourne.
  • 9YO gelding Bobo Win (Danehill-Oh So Canny, by Sir Tristram) won over 1650m for trainer Derek Cruz. Bobo Win was a $675,000 yearling consigned by Philippa Duncan Bloodstock at the 2001 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
  • 5YO gelding Happy Go Lucky (Quest For Fame-Omens, by Octagonal) won over 1650m for trainer Caspar Fownes.
  • 6YO gelding Magic Sweep (End Sweep-Azzurro, by Bluebird) won over 1200m for trainer David Ferraris. Magic Sweep was a $60,000 yearling consigned by Emirates Park at the 2004 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast.
