Eskander Fined $5k Over Betting Ring Threats

Racing NSW stewards fined bookmaker Michael Eskander $5,000 after he pleaded guilty to a charge of "conduct prejudicial to the image of racing" for "confronting" fellow bookmaker Robbie Waterhouse several times (during the Rosehill meeting on February 28) "in the vicinity of his betting stand & within earshot of other bookmakers, their staff & members of the public in an aggressive manner using offensive and/or threatening language".
