Danehill Dancer Adds French Gr3

Tuesday, 14th April 2009

Also in France, Coolmore shuttler Danehill Dancer (Danehill-Mira Adonde, by Sharpen Up) added a group success when Irish-bred daughter Tamazirte (Danehill Dancer-Tanami Desert, by Lycius) scored by a neck in the €80,000 (A$152,000) Gr3 Prix De La Grotte (1600m) for 3YO fillies at Longchamp in Paris. Tamazirte (ridden by Christophe-Patrice Lemaire for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget) defeated US-bred Soneva (Cherokee Run-Lakabi, by Nureyev) & UK-bred Proportional (Beat Hollow-Minority, by Generous). Tamazirte was a €40,000 (A$76,000) 2YO at the 2008 Arqana April Sale; overall she now has 3 successive wins this year (after a 4th on debut last November) for €66,700 (A$126,000) earnings.
