Trainer Les Bridge confirmed the retirement of Gr2-winning 8YO gelding Utzon (Nothin Leica Dane-Ivory Rose, by Gain Control). Utzon recorded 6 wins (including 2006's Gr2 Villiers Stakes over 1600m at Randwick, Gr3 Liverpool City Cup over 1200m at Warwick Farm & Listed Festival Stakes over 1400m at Rosehill) & 7 placings (including 2007's Gr2 Ajax Stakes over 1500m & Gr3 Clissold Stakes over 1200m) from 30 starts for $573,725 earnings.
