NZ Jockey 1-Month Ban For Failed Breath Test
Thursday, 16th April 2009
In New Zealand, senior South Island jockey Terry Moseley "has been suspended for a month after returning a positive breath alcohol test at the Riverton races," reported stuff.co.nz. Moseley returned a level of 230 micrograms-per-litre of breath, "well below the legal limit for motorists of 400mcg, but above the 100mcg level imposed for jockeys by NZ Thoroughbred Racing". All jockeys were tested by stewards before the meeting.
