Red Ransom Adds US Black-Type

On the UK track overnight, Vinery Stud shuttler & now permanently Australian-based stallion Red Ransom (Roberto-Arabia, by Damascus) added a black-type success when his colt Ouqba (Red Ransom-Dancing Mirage, by Machiavellian) scored a 2.75-lengths victory in the £45,000 (A$93,000) Listed European Free Handicap (7 furlongs) for 3YOs at Newmarket. Ouqba (ridden by Richard Hills for trainer Barry Hills) defeated favoured Irish-bred colt Awinnersgame (Kyllachy-Polish Descent, by Danehill) & the filly Penny's Gift (Tobougg-Happy Lady, by Cadeaux Genereux). Ouqba now has 3 wins & 2 placings from 8 starts.
