Vic Jockey Mott Fined For Failing To Attend Meetings

Racing Victoria stewards yesterday fined jockey Jamie Mott $2,000 after he pleaded guilty to a charge of negligence, in that he "failed to notify stewards that he would not be attending the race meeting at Stawell on April 12 to fulfill his riding engagements". Stewards took into account Mott's "poor record in regards to similar offences" & ruled that "before being permitted to ride again at races or track work, he must produce a satisfactory medical clearance" from Racing Victoria's medical consultant.
