WATC Vote For Perth Cup To Stay At 2400m
Thursday, 16th April 2009
A majority of West Australian Turf Club members have voted for the 2010 Perth Cup to again be run over the shortened distance of 2400m at Ascot on January 1. This year the WATC committee cut the Cup distance from its previous 3200m & the voting by 922 members (36% of WATC's total membership) has resulted in 609 (66% of those who voted) supporting the committee's decision & 313 not supporting it.
