Star NZ Apprentice McDonald New Walker Stable Jockey
Tuesday, 21st April 2009
In New Zealand, leading trainer Mark Walker (winner of 3 of the last 4 NZ premierships & a clear leader again this season) confirmed star apprentice James McDonald will become his main stable jockey from the start of the new season on August 1. McDonald (in only his 2nd full season riding) finished as champion apprentice last season with 90 winners & is leading this year's overall NZ jockeys' premiership with almost 100 winners to date.
