HK Update For Aust Horses Dao Dao & Niconero
Also in Hong Kong, visiting Australian-trained 5YO gelding Dao Dao (Shinko Forest-Casual Way, by Casual Lies) & 7YO gelding Niconero (Danzero-Nicola Lass, by Scenic) continue their preparations for Sunday's Gr1 Champions Mile & Gr1 Audemars Piguet QEII Cup (respectively) at Sha Tin. The official trackwork report from the HK Jockey Club noted Dao Dao "had light exercise on the sand track in the confines of the stabling area" & HKJC head of international races Mark Player noted Australian trainer John Hawkes had arrived in HK & "told me he thought the horse looked in great shape." Meanwhile Niconero "galloped at reasonable pace on the all-weather track".
