2 Aust-Bred Winners In New Zealand

On the NZ track yesterday, 2 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Waterlea:

  • 3YO colt Flying Trio (Flying Spur-Bineyah, by Sadler's Wells) won over 1400m for trainer Shane Kennedy. Flying Trio was a $60,000 yearling consigned by Arrowfield Stud at the 2007 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale & subsequently passed-in for NZ$65,000 at the 2007 NZ Bloodstock 2YO Horses-In-Training Sale.
  • 7YO gelding Coup Christchurch (Volksraad-Precious Princess, by Precocious) won over 1400m for trainer Michael Pitman. Coup Christchurch was a NZ$38,000 yearling at the 2003 NZ Bloodstock Select Colts Sale at Karaka.
