Danleigh Wins Gr1 All-Aged Stakes

Eliza Park Stud shuttler Mujahid (Danzig-Elrafa Ah, by Storm Cat) added a group success when 5YO gelding Danleigh (Mujahid-Graceful Lily, by Dr Grace) scored a half-length victory in the $400,000 weight-for-age Gr1 All-Aged Stakes (1400m) at Randwick. Danleigh (ridden by Damien Oliver for trainer Chris Waller) defeated 4YO geldings Light Fantastic (Danehill Dancer-Leica Or Not, by Kendor) & Royal Discretion (Royal Academy-Discretion, by Canny Lad). Danleigh now has 5 wins (also including March's Gr3 Liverpool City Cup over 1200m at Randwick, plus 2007's Gr2 Sires Produce Stakes over 1400m at Eagle Farm & Gr3 South Pacific Classic over 1400m at Randwick) & 10 placings (including last start's Gr1 The Galaxy over 1100m at Randwick & March's Gr3 Frederick Clissold Stakes over 1200m at Randwick, plus 2007's Gr1 T.J.Smith Quality at Eagle Farm, Gr2 Ajax Stakes over 1500m at Rosehill, Gr2 Queensland Guineas over 1600m at Eagle Farm & Listed Gold Coast Guineas over 1200m) from 22 starts for $834,595 earnings.
