4th Winner For Aust Freshman Sire Oratorio
Western Australia's Mungrup Stud-based 7YO 1st-crop sire Oratorio (Stravinsky-Express A Smile, by Success Express) recorded his 4th winner yesterday when 2YO gelding Ginsberg (Oratorio-Explosive Halo, by Don't Say Halo) led all-the-way to score on debut over 1000m at Ascot in Perth for trainer David Harrison. Ginsberg was retained to race by his breeder. His Australian-bred sire Oratorio (not the Coolmore shuttler of the same name) retired to stud with 4 wins (including the Gr3 Hayes Stakes, Listed St Albans Stakes & Listed Tommy Smith Slipper) & 4 placings (including the Gr3 Blue Diamond Prelude, Gr3 McNeil Stakes & Listed Debutant Stakes) from 11 starts for $511,550 earnings.
