Aust-Bred Not Now Norman Wins NZ Champagne Stakes

Widden Stud shuttler King Cugat (Kingmambo-Tricky Game, by Majestic Light) added an NZ juvenile black-type success when unbeaten Australian-bred gelding Not Now Norman (King Cugat-Miscellanea, by Vettori) scored a 1.25-lengths victory in the NZ$50,000 Listed Selwyn River Stud Champagne Stakes (1200m) at Riccarton Park. Not Now Norman (ridden by Jamie Bullard for trainer Terri Rae) defeated the colt Regal Flame (Not A Single Doubt-Marina Miss, by Grand Lodge) & favoured filly Gofonze (Golan-Elfonze, by Krasnopolski). Not Now Norman (a $10,000 yearling consigned by Baramul Stud at the 2008 Magic Millions Winter Sale) now has 2 wins from 2 starts for NZ$33,525 earnings.
