Meanwhile Keeper Of The Australian Stud Book Michael Ford told The Australian Financial Review the recession "might see lower-priced stallions attract higher quality mares as breeders tried to save precious pennies". Ford commented: "You'll probably see breeders opting to go to different stallions, giving cheaper horses a chance they might not otherwise have got & those decisions could bear fruit when their progeny race."
