Monday, 18th May 2009

Deceased former Inverness Stud stallion Phizam (Zamazaan-Phius, by Oncidium) added a black-type success when 5YO gelding Phaze Action (Phizam-Beauscay, by Beau Trist) gained the judge's decision in a 3-way photo-finish to the $200,000 Listed Andrew Ramsden Stakes (3200m) at Flemington in Melbourne. Phaze Action (ridden by Dwayne Dunn for trainers Bevan & Richard Laming) scored by a long-neck from 5YO mare Ladies In Luck (Perugino-Miss Dehere, by Dehere) with a further half-head to fellow 5YO gelding Tangalooma (Zabeel-Juliette Heights, by Shirley Heights). Phaze Action now has 4 wins & 9 placings from 25 starts for $234,293 earnings. (Click on the link for full race details from Group Race Results at AAP Racing.)
