Gr1 Star Rebel King Retired To Klawervlei Stud

In South Africa, Gr1-winning 5YO stallion Rebel King (National Emblem-Cousin Linda, by Badger Land) has been retired to the breeding barn at Klawervlei Stud in the Western Cape. On the track, Summerhill Stud-bred Rebel King won January's Gr1 Cape Flying Championship (1000m) at Kenilworth & last month's Gr2 Senor Santa Handicap (1160m) at Turffontein, as well as 2007's Gr2 Diadem Stakes (1200m) at Kenilworth & 2006's Gr2 SA Nursery (1160m) at Turffontein, plus placing in last month's Gr1 Computaform Sprint (1000m) at Turffontein, as well as 2008's Gr1 Mercury Sprint (1200m) at Clairwood, Gr1 Golden Horse Sprint (1200m) at Scottsville, Gr2 Diadem Stakes (1200m) at Kenilworth, Gr2 The Merchants Stakes (1160m) at Turffontein & Gr2 Senor Santa Handicap (1200m) at Vaal, in addition to 2007's Gr1 Mercury Sprint (1200m) at Clairwood, Gr1 Computaform Sprint (1000m) at Turffontein & Gr2 Senor Santa Handicap (1200m) at Newmarket.
