Aust Jock Knuckey Returns From Injury In Singapore
Australian jockey Peter Knuckey returns to the Singapore track this weekend, after more than 2 months on the sidelines with an injury to his right ankle. What Knuckey had initially shrugged off as a sprain following a fall from Ara Kara on March 21, was diagnosed 3 weeks later as a tiny fracture to the right ankle bone. Knuckey commented: "It's been hard sitting at home, especially when I was doing so well before the injury. It was especially hard to miss the international meeting in May. There was such a buzz about the meeting & I wanted so much to be part of that. But most importantly, I'm back to full fitness & ready to get back into action. My right foot feels fine, but as a precaution I've taped it up as it can lose a bit of movement."
