Shellscrape Wins Aust Post Bicentennial Stakes

Kitchwin Hills 1st-crop stallion Dane Shadow (Danehill-Slight Chance, by Centaine) recorded his 1st stakes-winner when juvenile colt Shellscrape (Dane Shadow-Kisma, by Snippets) scored by a long-neck in the $100,000 Listed Australia Post Bicentennial Stakes (1400m) for 2YOs at Eagle Farm. Shellscrape (ridden by Larry Cassidy for trainer Chris Waller) defeated favoured fellow colt Carrara (Elvstroem-Crystal Sprite, by Hurricane Sky) & the gelding Man Of Oar (Oarsman-Lady Road, by Sea Road). Shellscrape (a $40,000 weanling consigned from Kitchwin Hills at the 2007 Magic Millions National Sale) now has 3 wins & 5 placings from 9 starts for $216,650 earnings.
