Fasliyev Adds French Black-Type

Also in France, former Coolmore shuttler Fasliyev (Nureyev-Mr P's Princess, by Mr Prospector) added a black-type success when UK-bred 5YO entire Prince Fasliyev (Fasliyev-Malaisienne, by Saumarez) scored a 0.75-length victory in the €52,000 (A$89,000) Listed Grand Prix D'Anjou Bretagne (1600m) for 4YOs & up at Nantes. Prince Fasliyev (ridden by Fabrice Veron for trainer Henri-Alex Pantall) defeated fellow 5YO entire Slickly Royal (Slickly-Royal Bride, by Garde Royale) & Irish-bred 4YO gelding Unquenchable Fire (Invincible Spirit-Tasha's Dream, by Woodman). Prince Fasliyev was a 19,000 guineas (A$40,000) weanling at the 2004 UK Tattersalls December Sale & later a €45,000 (A$77,000) yearling at the 2005 Deauville August Sale. Overall he now has 6 wins (also including last start's Swedish Listed Pramms Memorial over 1730m at Jagersro on May 19) & 12 placings (including 3rd in this same Grand Prix D'Anjou Bretagne last year) from 29 starts for €176,800 (A$303,000) earnings.
