Monday, 29th June 2009

In Chile, juvenile colt Tim Bero (Tumblebrutus-Marbella, by Mocito Guapo) scored a 0.25-length victory in the Gr1 Clasico Alberto Vial Infante (1600m on turf) for 2YO colts & geldings at Club Hipico in Santiago. Favourite Tim Bero (ridden by Oscar Ulloa for trainer Antonio Abarca) defeated the gelding Hoy Si (Dushyantor-Huamaya, by Fappavalley) & fellow colt Elgon Professional (Tumblebrutus-Triple Threat, by Roy). Tim Bero (whose sire Tumblebrutus is a full-brother to former Coolmore shuttler Giant's Causeway) took his record to 3 wins (also including May's Gr3 Premio Alvaro Covarrubias over 1600m at Club Hipico) & a runner-up from 4 starts.
