Aga Khan Shuttles Duo To Brazil
The Aga Khan's French-based stallions Sinndar and Linngari will shuttle to Brazil for the first time to stand the Southern Hemisphere season in Sao Paulo under a lease agreement managed by Eduardo Guimaraes of Belair Stud in Brazil. "Sinndar's shuttling was only possible due to the generosity of [His Highness] the Prince Aga Khan, whose father, the late Prince Aly Khan, had quite a few friends in Brazil," Guimaraes said. 12YO stallion Sinndar (Grand Lodge-Sinntara, by Lashkari) was an unbeaten Gr1-winning 2YO and a European champion 3YO with 7 wins from 8 starts (including 1999's Gr1 Aga Khan Studs National Stakes at the Curragh, 2000's Gr1 Vodafone Epsom Derby in the UK, Gr1 Budweiser Irish Derby at the Curragh, and Gr1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp) with earnings totaling $2,571,884. The sire of multiple Group 1 winner Youmzain (Sindaar-Sadima, by Sadler's Wells) and Irish classic winner Shawanda (Sindaar-Shamawna, by Darshaan), Sinndar will stand at Silvio Crespi's Haras Calunga in Sao Paulo. Standing at Francisco's Giobbi's Haras San Francesco in Sao Paulo, 7YO stallion Linngari (Indian Ridge- Lidakiya, by Kahyasi) who stood his first season alongside Sinndar at Haras de Bonneval, was a dual Gr1-winner and 3-time Gr2-winner with 11 wins (including the 2008 Gr1 Grosser Dallmayr-Preis Bayerisches Zuchtrennen in Munich, 2007 Gr1 Premio Vittorio di Capua in Milan, 2006 Gr2 Al Fahidi Fort Stakes in Nad Al Sheba) & 10 placings (including the 2008's Gr1 Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Cup in Sha Tin, Gr1 Emirates Airline Champion Stakes in Newmarket, 2007's Gr1 Dubai Duty Free Stakes in Nad Al Sheba and 2006's P. de la Foret Casino Barriere Biarritz at Longchamp) for earnings of $2,795,578.
