Scone Veterinary Hospital Secures New Site
Scone Veterinary Hospital yesterday exchanged contracts for relocation to "the hub of equine services at Racecourse Road, Scone". This development facilitates "the immediate relocation of key equine services to state-of-the-art facilities at the Hunter Valley Equine Research Centre, as stage one of an exciting period of growth for SVH & the region". The contracts signed yesterday facilitated: a 5-year lease of 3 buildings in the existing HVERC (including laboratory, post-mortem facility & accommodation) & the option to lease the remainder of the research facilities on completion of the new hospital; purchase of 10 acres of land adjacent to the HVERC to accommodate "a new world-class veterinary hospital". SVH "will relocate its laboratory services to the Research Centre immediately & hopes to move into the new hospital within the next 3-4 years".
