3rd Winner For Freshman Sire North Light

In Canada, former Gr1 English Derby-winning 8YO stallion North Light (Danehill-Sought Out, by Rainbow Quest) recorded his 3rd 1st-cop winner when US-bred 2YO filly Just Heavenly (North Light-Diablo's Closer, by Diablo) scored on debut over 8 furlongs on turf at Woodbine for trainer Brian Lynch. Irish-bred North Light was the top-rated 3YO in England & 3rd-top-rated 3YO in Ireland in 2004 with 3 wins (including the Gr1 Epsom Derby & Gr2 Dante Stakes) & 3 placings (including the Gr1 Irish Derby & Gr3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes) from 7 starts for £1,097,276 (A$2.233m) earnings. North Light stood the 2009 season at Adena Springs in the US for US$15,000.
