Belle Watling Wins Chile Gr1 Potrancas

On the same card in Chile, favourite Belle Watling (Dushyantor-Biala, by The Great Shark) scored a 3.5-lengths victory in the Gr1 Premio Polla de Potrancas (1700m on turf & 1st leg of the female Quadruple Crown series) for 3YO fillies at Club Hipico de Santiago. Belle Watling (ridden by Hector Berrios for trifecta-training Patricio Baeza) defeated her stable-mates Casablanca Smile (Ocean Terrace-Periza, by Sadlers Congress) & Pampa Oceanica (Ocean Terrace-Pampa De La Sal, by Sadlers Congress). Previously this year, Belle Watling won both March's Listed Premio Carlos Cousino Goyenechea (1200m) at Club Hipico & May's Gr3 Clasico Julio Subercaseaux Browne (1600m) at Club Hipico, as well as finishing runner-up in June's Gr1 Premio Arturo Lyon Pena (1600m) at Club Hipico & 3rd in August's Gr2 Premio Criadores Dorama (1600m) at Club Hipico. Overall she now has 4 wins & 2 placings from 7 starts.
