Fergal Lynch Surrenders Jockey Licence In US
UK jockey Fergal Lynch "has surrendered his licence to ride in the US & agreed not to return to ride there until he has secured approval to ride in Britain, which will keep him out of the saddle until at least next July" reported racingpost.com. Lynch, 31, voluntarily forfeited his licence to officials in Pennsylvania, "having been banned from riding at Philadelphia Park (where he had been the track's leading jockey) after the conclusion of a British Horseracing Authority inquiry in which he admitted to a series of major offences including stopping a horse".
