23rd Winner For Europe Freshman Dubawi
Thursday, 17th September 2009
In Europe, triple Gr1-winning freshman sire & Darley shuttler Dubawi (Dubai Millennium-Zomaradah, by Deploy) extended his lead at the head of the 1st-season sires' table (by both number of winners & prize-money) by recording his 23rd 1st-crop winner when Sheikh Hamdan's UK-bred 2YO colt Mujaazef (Dubawi-Khubza, by Green Desert) scored over 7 furlongs at Listowel in Ireland for trainer Kevin Prendergast. Mujaazef was a 180,000 guineas (A$369,000) yearling at the 2008 UK Tattersalls October Sale.
