Patinack Sends 2 Horses To Singapore
Meanwhile Nathan Tinkler's Patinack Farm has embarked on its 1st foray into Singapore racing, sending 2 horses to Australian trainer Cliff Brown "with the likelihood of more to follow". Patinack general manager Rick Connolly commented: "We currently race horses in America, England, France & Ireland & we see ourselves as a totally global operation. Apart from Australia & New Zealand, we would like to see our horses race a little closer to home. Racing & prize-money are thriving in Singapore & we want to be a part of it, so we have sent up 2 well-bred horses & are hoping they will develop into future stakes-winners." Abeyant (a son of Exceed And Excel & debut winner in Newcastle) & Feared (by More Than Ready from 1996 Gr1 Golden Slipper winner Merlene) arrived in Singapore last Sunday & are currently undergoing quarantine before moving to Brown's stables. Connolly noted: "The 2 horses that have already been sent were specifically picked as we felt they could make an impact of Singapore racing. There are 2 or 3 more that we are currently looking at that could make their way up there as well."
