Monday, 21st September 2009

In France, former Darley shuttler Cape Cross (Green Desert-Park Appeal, by Ahonoora) added a French juvenile group success when The Aga Khan's unbeaten colt Behkabad (Cape Cross-Behkara, by Kris) scored a 0.75-length victory in the €80,000 (A$136,000) Gr3 Prix Des Chenes (1600m) for 2YO colts & geldings at Longchamp in Paris. Behkabad (ridden by Christophe-Patrice Lemaire for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget) defeated Irish-bred colt Arasin (Footstepsinthesand-Arazena, by Woodman) & Godolphin's US-bred colt Emirates Dream (Kingmambo-My Boston Gal, by Boston Harbor). Behkabad took his record to 3 wins from 3 starts for €64,000 (A$109,000) earnings.
