Keeneland Yearlings Day-8: US$260k Giant's Causeway Colt
In the US, All The Rage Partners paid top price of US$260,000 for a colt by European Horse-Of-The-Year & former Coolmore shuttler Giant's Causeway (out of multiple graded stakes-winning 10-year-old millionaire Smoke Glacken mare Smok'n Frolic) during the 8th session at the 14-day Keeneland September Yearling Sale in Kentucky. The colt (consigned by Adena Springs) is from the family of stakes-winners Fabulous Frolic, Lindsay Frolic & Cherokee Chase; his dam Smok'n Frolic was purchased by Adena for US$1,250,000 as a broodmare prospect at the 2004 Keeneland November Sale & subsequently resold to Shadai Farm (in-foal to multiple Gr1-winning 2004 US Horse-Of-The-Year Ghostzapper) for US$750,000 at the 2008 Keeneland November Sale.
