Riverdene Sire Half Hennessy Euthanased After Accident

Riverdene Stud's Gr1-winning resident stallion Half Hennessy (Hennessy-Singeing Lamp, by Blazing Saddles) has been euthanased aged 10 following complications from multiple leg fractures suffered in a paddock accident which required intensive surgery. On the track, Half Hennessy recorded 6 wins (including the Gr1 Queensland Derby by 7-lengths, Gr2 Grand Prix Stakes, Gr3 Illawarra Classic & Gr3 Ming Dynasty Handicap) & 5 placings (including the Gr1 AJC Champagne Stakes, Gr2 Bill Stutt Stakes  & Listed Rough Habit Plate) from 25 starts for $901,650 earnings. His oldest progeny are early 4YOs in the current racing season.
