Champs Elysees To UK Banstead Manor Stud In 2010
Also in the UK, Khallid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farm announced multiple Gr1-winning 6YO entire Champs Elysees (Danehill-Hasili, by Kahyasi) will retire to stud in 2010 at Cheveley-based Banstead Manor in England after making his final start in the Gr1 Canadian International at Woodbine on October 17. Champs Elysees (a full brother to champions Dansili, Banks Hill & Intercontinental, as well as Gr1-winners Heat Haze & Cacique) boasts victories in the US Gr1 Hollywood Turf Cup Stakes, Canadian Gr1 Northern Dancer Stakes, US Gr2 San Marcos Stakes & French Gr3 Prix D'Hedouville, plus placings in last start's Canadian Gr1 Northern Dancer Stakes on September 20, as well as the US Gr1 Santa Anita Handicap twice, Canadian Gr1 International Stakes, US Gr2 Jim Murray Memorial Handicap, Gr1 Hollywood Turf Cup Stakes, Italian Gr1 Gran Premio Del Jockey Club, Canadian Gr2 Sky Classic Handicap, Canadian Gr2 Nijinsky Stakes, French Gr2 Grand Prix De Deauville, French Gr2 Prix Maurice De Nieuil, French Gr3 Prix du Prince D'Orange & French Gr3 Prix Daphnis) for US$1.7 million earnings.
