California Yearlings: US$120k Tiznow Filly

In California, trainer Janet Armstrong (acting for Syd Belzberg's Canadian-based Budget Stables) paid top price of US$120,000 for a filly by Tiznow (out of Lion Hearted mare Storm Hearted) at the 1-day Barretts California Cup Yearling Sale (co-sponsored by the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association) in the Hinds Pavilion at Fairplex Park in Pomona. The filly (consigned by Havens Bloodstock Agency for Lee & Susan Searing's CRK Stable). Armstrong told bloodhorse.com: "This was my 1st pick. She's a very classy filly by a good sire."
