Keyora Wins NZ Wellington Guineas

In New Zealand, The Oaks Stud shuttler Bachelor Duke (Miswaki-Gossamer, by Seattle Slew) added a group success when favoured colt Keyora (Bachelor Duke-Fairy Lights, by Fairy King) recorded his 2nd stakes-win in 3 weeks with a 1.25-lengths victory in the NZ$85,000 Gr2 NZ Bloodstock Wellington Thoroughbred Breeders Guineas (1500m) for 3YOs at Trentham. Keyora (ridden by Hayden Tinsley for trainer John Wheeler) defeated the geldings Descarado (High Chaparral-Karamea Lady, by Lord Ballina) & Military Move (Volksraad-All Night Party, by Just A Dancer). Keyora (a NZ$200,000 yearling at the 2008 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale at Karaka) now has 3 wins (also including last start's Gr2 NZ Bloodstock Insurance Hawke's Bay Guineas over 1400m at Hastings on October 3) & a runner-up from 8 starts for NZ$128,500 earnings.
