Rangirangdoo Wins Crystal Mile

NZ Rich Hill Stud stallion Pentire (Be My Guest-Gull Nook, by Mill Reef) added a group success when favoured 5YO gelding Rangirangdoo (Pentire-She Wishes, by Kenfair) set a new course record in scoring a 3.5-lengths victory in the $200,000 Gr2 Patinack Farm Crystal Mile (1600m) at Moonee Valley. Top-weighted Rangirangdoo (ridden by Corey Brown for trainer Chris Waller) clocked 1min 34.96sec in defeating 7YO gelding Sound Of Nature (Chester House-Yashmak, by Danzig) & 4YO entire All American (Red Ransom-Milva, by Strawberry Road). Rangirangdoo (a NZ$170,000 yearling at the 2006 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale at Karaka) now has 7 wins (also including September's Gr3 Tramway Handicap over 1300m at Randwick) & 6 placings (including his last 2 starts in the Gr1 Arrrowfield Stud Epsom Handicap over 1600m at Randwick on October 3 & September's Gr2 Shannon Stakes over 1500m at Rosehill) from 13 starts for $485,380 earnings.
