Crisp Wins US Gr1 Santa Anita Oaks

Consistent filly Crisp (El Corredor-Cat's Fair, by Sir Cat) prevailed in a 4-way photo-finish to the US$250,000 Gr1 Santa Anita Oaks (8.5 furlongs on all-weather) for 3YO fillies at Santa Anita. Crisp (ridden by Joel Rosario for trainer John Sadler) scored by a neck from front-running All Due Respect (Value Plus-Aunt Due, by Devil His Due) with a further neck to favourite Blind Luck (Pollard's Vision-Lucky One, by Best Of Luck). Crisp (a US$160,000 yearling at the 2008 Keeneland September Sale) took her record to 3 wins (also including January's Gr3 Santa Ysabel Stakes over 8.5 furlongs at Santa Anita) & a placing from 5 starts for US$252,120 earnings.
