In the US, Darley shuttler & Gr1 Dubai World Cup winner Street Cry (Machiavellian-Helen Street, by Troy) added a US graded-stakes success when 6YO entire Blues Street (Street Cry-Capote Blues, by Capote) made it 4 successive wins with a 1.75-lengths victory in the US$300,000 Gr2 Mervin Muniz Memorial Handicap (9 furlongs on turf) for 4YOs & up at Fair Grounds in Louisiana. Blues Street (ridden by Javier Castellano for trainer Todd Pletcher) defeated fellow 6YO entire Pick Six (Dynaformer-Oh What A Windfall, by Seeking The Gold) & 7YO gelding Transduction Gold (Formal Gold-Moondust Mink, by Great Above). Blues Street (a US$85,000 yearling at the 2005 Keeneland September Sale) took his record to 8 wins (also including last start's Gr3 Fair Grounds Handicap over 9 at Fair Grounds on February 20, plus 2009's Listed Memorial Day Handicap over 8 furlongs at Mountaineer Park) & 8 placings (including 2009's Listed Independence Day Stakes over 8 furlongs at Mountaineer park & 2007's Listed Pasadena Stakes over 8 furlongs at Santa Anita) from 22 starts for US$487,178 earnings.
