Multiple Gr1-winning boom US 3rd-season sire & now Darley shuttler Medaglia d'Oro (El Prado-Cappucino Bay, by Bailjumper) added a US graded-stakes success when 4YO mare Medaglia D'Amour (Medaglia d'Oro-Izara, by Blushing John) scored a 1.25-lengths victory in the US$100,000 Gr3 Wilshire Handicap (8 furlongs on turf) for fillies & mares at Hollywood Park in California. Medaglia D'Amour (ridden by Alonso Quinonez for trainer Ben Cecil) defeated favoured 5YO mare Cat By The Tale (Tale Of The Cat-St Clair Ridge, by Indian Ridge) & fellow 5YO mare You Lift Me Up (Lord Carson-Up On Her Toes, by Green Dancer). Medaglia D'Amour (a US$3,000 yearling at the 2007 Keeneland September Sale) was the least expensive yearling in her sire's 1st-crop & took her record to 3 wins from 4 starts for US$116,200 earnings.
