Riomoral Wins NZ Windsor Park Breeders Stakes

Westbury Stud-based stallion Captain Rio (Pivotal-Beloved Visitor, by Miswaki) added a NZ group quinella (& 9th individual stakes-winner world-wide) when gelded son Riomoral (Captain Rio-Immoral, by Last Tycoon) gained the judge's decision in a 3-way photo-finish to the NZ$70,000 Gr3 Windsor Park Stud Breeders Stakes (1200m) for 3YOs at Te Rapa. Riomoral (ridden by Michael Coleman for trainer Karyn McQuade) scored by nose from Australian-bred fellow gelding Rio Fortune (Captain Rio-Bahira, by Volksraad) with a further head to the filly Show Up (Show A Heart-La Serenade, by St Covet). Riomoral now has 4 wins & 2 placings from 8 starts for NZ$68,725 earnings.
