NZB National Mares Day-1: NZ$60k Miller's Pride
Immediately following the weanlings, Tim Stakemire (acting for Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum) paid equal-top price of NZ$60,000 for unraced 11-year-old Japanese-bred mare Miller's Pride (Lammtarra-Canadian Mill, by Mill Reef) during yesterday's opening broodmares section (lots 464-600 of mares catalogued through to 801) at the 3-day NZ Bloodstock National Weanling, Broodmare & Mixed Bloodstock Sale. Miller's Pride (consigned by Pencarrow Stud) was sold in-foal to The Oaks Stud's 5-time Gr1-winning & 5-time Gr1-placed stallion Darci Brahma; her only foal to race to date is 5-time-winner Steel Cut.
