Aust-Bred Luen Yat Forever Wins Gr1 Macau Gold Cup
In Macau, former Widden Stud & now Hollylodge Thoroughbreds stallion Honours List (Danehill-Gold Script, by Script Ohio) added a Gr1 success when Australian-bred 4YO gelding Luen Yat Forever (Honours List-Loisset, by Langfuhr) notched his 3rd Gr1 victory in 2 months with a 3-lengths win in the Gr1 Macau Gold Cup (1800m) at Taipa. Leun Yat Forever (ridden by Manoel Nunes for trainer Steven Choi) defeated 6YO gelding Farson (Postponed-Lady Gesine, by Grosvenor) & fellow Australian-bred 7YO gelding Jazza Bell (Zabeel-Alharir, by Jeune). Luen Yat Forever (a $32,000 weanling consigned by Glenlogan Park at the 2006 Magic Millions National Sale) now has 10 wins (also including April's Gr1 Macau Derby over 1800m, March's Gr1 Macau Guineas over 1500m & January's Gr3 Winter Trophy over 1800m, plus 2009's Gr3 Lisboa Challenge) & 8 placings (including 2009's Gr3 Lisboa Prelude over 1200m) from 20 starts for approximately A$821,000 earnings.
