In Japan yesterday, multiple Gr1-winning former NZ Java Lodge & Independent Stallions Victoria shuttler Zenno Rob Roy (Sunday Silence-Roamin Rachel, by Mining) added a Gr1 triumph (& 3rd-placing) when daughter Saint Emilion (Zenno Rob Roy-Moteck, by Last Tycoon) shared victory with favourite Apapane (King Kamehameha-Salty Bid, by Salt Lake) in the ¥205 million (A$2.727m) Gr1 Yushun Himba-Japanese Oaks (2400m) for 3YO fillies at Tokyo. Saint Emilion (ridden by Norihiro Yokoyama for trainer Masaaki Koga) & Apapane (ridden by Masayoshi Ebina for trainer Sakae Kunieda) finished 2-lengths in front of Agnes Waltz (Zenno Rob Roy-Merlot Sweet, by Hector Protector).
