Multiple Gr1-winning boom US 3rd-season sire & now Darley shuttler Medaglia d'Oro (El Prado-Cappucino Bay, by Bailjumper) added a US Gr1 triumph when daughter Champagne D'Oro (Medaglia D'Oro-Champagne Glow, by Saratoga Six) made it 2 Gr1 wins & a Gr1 runner-up from her last 3 starts with a decisive 4.5-lengths victory in the US$250,000 Gr1 Test Stakes (7 furlongs) for 3YO fillies at Saratoga. Champagne D'Oro (ridden by Miguel Mena for trainer Eric Guillot) defeated Bonnie Blue Flag (Mineshaft-Tap Your Feet, by Dixieland Band) & Belle Of The Hall (Graeme Hall-Vines Of Justice, by Judge TC). Champagne D'Oro (a US$210,000 yearling at the 2008 Keeneland September Sale) now has 3 wins (also including June's Gr1 Acorn Stakes over 8 furlongs at Belmont Park) & 4 placings (including last start's Gr1 Prioress Stakes over 6 furlongs at Belmont Park on July 3, plus March's Gr2 Fair Grounds Oaks over 8.5 furlongs & 2009's Listed Cinderella Stakes over 5.5 furlongs at Hollywood Park) from 12 starts for US$493,465 earnings.
