Monday, 9th August 2010

Coolmore shuttler Tale Of The Cat (Storm Cat-Yarn, by Mr Prospector) added a US black-type success when daughter Sea Road (Tale Of The Cat-Packet, by Polish Navy) notched her 3rd successive victory when she gained the judge's decision in a 3-way photo-finish to the US$70,000 Listed Hattie Moseley Stakes (8 furlongs on turf) for 3YO fillies at Saratoga. Sea Road (ridden by Cornelio Velasquez for trainer Stanley Hough) scored by a neck from Snow Top Mountain (Najran-Motokiks, by Storm Cat) with a further nose to Barracks Road (Elusive Quality-Padmore, by French Deputy). Sea Road took her record to 4 wins (also including April's Listed Boynton Beach Stakes over 8 furlongs at Gulfstream Park) & a runner-up from 7 starts for US$132,020 earnings.
